1981 Ford Bronco

I have 1981 ford bronco with california emission on it. I am getting ready to swap the motor and would like to get rid of the EGR and the catalytic converters. I am in a area where I do not have to take my vehicle to emissions and would really like to get rid of some of this equipment to make this motor run better. I was thinking of putting an edelbrock intake manifold 2181 that is Non EGR and new dual exhaust. My question is can this be done without damaging anything and if so is there a manual that can show me how? Thanks for any suggestions.

Use the search this forum button. Emissions equipment violations are handled by
the federal govt so any mod will be a federal crime!! I heard $1700.00 for cat con
removal.
