9 inch question
Will the center section from a 73 rear bolt into a 60 housing with minimal problems? I want to change the 3:70 gears I have to something more highway friendly.

They could be 31 or 28 so that will decide the outcome.

Ok, I misspoke. both axle flanges have 2 holes with a dimple in the center, so I believe that makes them both 31 spline

As long as the splines are the same they should bolt right up. What ratio is it?

Do you still have a Y-block in it? I sure would like to know how this comes out. I have 3.00 gears for mine but I have not done it yet.

Walston, at present it has a 223, but a transplant is in the future. I have a 292, a 351W and a 300 I6 that I could use.
