Hey Guys, I've been watching this forum for months and have gotten priceless advice here so I'm going to throw out a question that I haven't seen any reference to. I've been doing some research into methanol injection on my '01 PSD and wonder if anyone here has had any experience? You can see the mods in my sig and plan on going with Jody's tunes in the spring but don't know if it's feasible or even adviseable to do both. My main application will be towing a 31' ultralight Trailer (@7500# loaded weight). All that I've seen on the net (particularly from retailers) indicates an increase in power with lower EGT's.

Would the lower EGT's decrease my boost? (currently having a problem with low boost, @ 12 psi WOT unloaded, have done most of the checks listed here and am down to pulling the spider but it's too blasted cold here to work outside). I plan on talking to Jody about mixing the technology when I get ready to tune but hope for some input here first. I know there's a forum on FTE for alternatives and methanol but there's not much on the PSD so I'm picking the experts brains. I know the Retail sponsors on FTE are good reputable folks but the fact remains that they want to sell something and I'd like to hear some real world facts.
