Arrow Injection pump diagram

I just recently Purchased an injection pump on ebay that was pulled not working. I bought it for $45 shipping included. I bought it because I wanted to know what was in one. (it bothers me when I don't know how something works) Anyway, Does anyone know where I can find a diagram on these pumps? Is it fairly simple to put back together or do I need special tools. How complicated is the internal workings of one as say comparing to rebuilding a tranny? Also, The auction on the ip said the truck just quit running and he pulled it and shiped it. Any gestament on what might be wrong. What is that little ball under the return line nut on the top of the pump??? Any info would be great. Thanks

The ball is part of the timing advance solenoid...... when the solenoid activates it lifts that ball and allows more fuel flow which in turn advances the timing of the IP.

As for a schematic or breakdown manual..... I was given a GM product service manual on the 6.2 Liter diesel engine........16015.05-1C... the only major difference of the IP is theirs rotates in the opposite direction. Most everything else is identical from what I have seen. It shows the complete assy from the bare casing up to running condition.

If there is a Stanadyne service dealer in your area there may be a chance for a surplus manual, disc or a copy if your lucky......or they may know of where to obtain one.
