another fuel pump problem?

Hi.Noob here. I was given an 85 F150 302 FI pickup from an older gentleman who bought a new truck and let this one sit too long.
He cranked it occasionally to keep it going but lately it wouldn't fire up anymore.
He said he sprayed ether into it and it fired til it ran out.Obviously a fuel problem. It has the single, center mounted tank with 1 pump in tank and high pressure pump on rail.I'm new to fords so I'm totally ignorant on them.
I've done a search and read several posts. Here's what I've done so far:
Tried new fuel pump relay-no luck. Have power to yellow wire at relay but none to brown wire to pump with key on.Seems to be just no power to fuel pumps.Checked fuses. All looked good.
Grounded wire at self-test connector and heard both pumps click on but no whirring noise.Assume they're both on. Pulled air filter intake assembly looking for schrader valve to check fuel pressure during test-can't find that sucker anywhere.Must be under intake on passenger side fuel rail? Don't think inertia valve is problem as truck has just sat for a while.A friend into fords said it could be the EEC relay but can't locate it.Some of the posts I've read suggest bad ignition module. Is there a way to test it without replacing it? I don't want to throw a bunch of parts at it.Just want to get it running.
Any ideas on how to proceed? Thanks for any help you can offer.

have you checked the Inertia switch? it's on the drivers side on the firewall to the left the brake pedal or behind the right kick panel.
