Thumbs up Tim

Hello all!

My name is Tim and I'm a new member. 04 Expy, 99 Taurus, 88 F-150 and 90 civic are in my stable. The Honda belongs to my daughter and was given to for FREE.
I was tooling around on the FORD website drooling over the newly unveiled 09 F-150. I think Ford has once again set the bar higher than any of the other wannabes, however, I think they will soon price many of us out of a resoanably well equipped truck. The new Platinum trim level is clearly a direct sibling to the Lincoln pick-up. In my mind a Ford truck should be equipped as follows:

1. 1 hardworking driver
2. 5.4L V-8, or V-10 or 6.4L Power stroke
3. 6 speed auto w/ tow haul mode
4. 4x4
5. 8ft bed
6. tow package to include the heavy dana rear end 3.73 LS
7. XLT or cheaper trim package
8. 100,000 mile bumper to bumper
9. SERVICE WITH A SMILE

Hi and welcome Tim.
I agree on the 09 F-150, a nice truck.
