On Edit: Are you pulling the head, or the valve cover to get to #8 Injector?
Also what symtoms is the truck experiencing if any.
Lack of power, missing, running rough, just wondering. I'd hate see yah pull the head or even an injector if it's not needed is all.
Give as much info as possible on your truck also. Year, Mileage, Mods, etc,and also the trouble codes you are pulling too. Country

thanks for the help. i am pulling the head because i just bought this thing and the guy before me had it in a shop a they puy two new injectors in number 8 an it still does not fire .so when i got it i put the scanner to it and with it was running i heard what sounded like an exhaust leak so that tells me some thing in the valves is not right so i will just pull the head to see .new valve cover gasket, glow plugs an harness, injector an harnesses.2001 E350 did buzz test and running test injector is spraying fuel so

Before you pull the head, run a compression test. The last thing that I would suspect is a bad head gasket. More likely you have a bent pushrod or broken rocker, something not quite as drastic and repairable in the vehicle. On a van it's REALLY easy to look at #8 with the doghouse removed.
