stuck thermostat??????

I was about to change the coolent in my engine and notice when i was draining the water from the drain plug under the radiator it was cold, maybe 100-110 degrees and the bottom radiator hose was cold, but the top hose was hot.I also check the water temp from the cap on the expantion tank with a thermometer and it moved to 100.It was driven over 15 miles so i no the temp was high and the fan was blowing hot air,any ideaThanks Chris.

The stock thermostat isn't set to open until 190º. So I think your okay.
But, since you're doing a coolant service, you could change it out. I change mine every other time I do the coolant, but I do take it out so I can rinse plenty of clean through the system and then reinstall it.

Isn't it nice to know our beastley boys are doing a great job of cooling the water? Cooling has never been a problem with our massive cooling system.
