96 contour surging

96 contour surging
anybody have any experience with the zetech (in this case in a 96 contour) having surging problems? it did it once before and i found a bulliton for it that pointed at the 02 sensor, with the sensor replaced it fixed the problem, but it returned after a few weeks. any suggestions?

My wife had a contour years ago that did the same thing. It was either the TPS or the MAF. I can't remember now but it was then replaced under warranty.

If it's the MAF, you should be able to take it apart and clean it. On my Lincoln, you need a locking torx bit for the screws, and clean it with some electrical contact cleaner (or similar that doesn't leave a residue) for the sensor wires.
Could be TPS, EGR, or vacuum line?
