To each his own. I like my 01' the way it came when I bought it new. I have thought about doing the grill, lights, bumpers, but I have an 01' not an 05'.

Don't get me wrong, there is some good looking trucks out there that did all this,

I like mine chrome, as it matches the kick panels on the sides. If you are not fond of it, paint it out. Maybe someone has some picks of painted that will help you decide.

I have painted bumpers and trim on my Eb Excursion, and prefer the chrome that's on my F250. With the chrome, it's easy to maintain and you don't have to worry about chipped paint.

As a teen, we always said, "If it won't go, chrome it!"

Definitely, chrome over paint. No chips and just a little bling!

i have the chrome fender flares, rock panels, and door handles. this is on a white truck so that it doesn't stand out quite as much as it would if it were on, say, a red truck. chrome looks good on some colors and not so good on others. having said that my tool trailer is also trimmed in chrome(came that way). so it kind of maintains a theme.
