Go with the bigger of the comp cams. If not even the next step up. I just put the 218/226 duration Xtreme 4X4 in my 460 and it is super stout on the low end. You won't loose any low end power with it. I almost think I should have gone with the next notch up. I think comp cams are the best off the shelf cams available right now.
My dad towed a car with it the other day. He said it did great. I really only built it for a play toy. It has plenty of low end grunt. It will stall the stock converter to around 2000 RPM's or so. I tried to take off in second once, just to see how high it would stall the converter, and it just smoked the tires!!! That's with a 3.25 ratio 9" Ford unit with a 4 pinion locker. Them's pretty high gears to be smoking them when taking off in second. That's why I think I could have gotten away with the larger cam and not lost any low end. It will pull out to past 5000 RPM's anyway. I can do 90 in second gear. I think it is a great combo overall.
