super camper special?found?
theres a truck at the auto shop at school, its a 78 with a 460/c6, it also has the compartment on the bedside, is this a super c/s?

A Camper Special will have badging indicating that it is a Camper Special. But any F250 with 460 and C6 will haul a camper "no Problem"!

well for some reason all the emblems are gone. but ive seen alot of c/s without the "tool box" and was wondering if this was a s/c/s

Is it an F250 or F350? Is that a side tool box or a side spare tire carrier?

Regardless, if it's a 78, it's not a Super Camper Special. Note that the 73-76's F350's with the camper package were called Super Camper Specials, and then for 77 through 79, they were simply called Camper Specials.
If it's an F350 2wd, it will have the side spare tire carrier, regardless of whether it has the Camper Special package or not. If it is an F250 with the side toolbox, it could be a Camper Special, or it could be just an F250 with an optional toolbox.

i highly doubt you could fit a spare tire in it.

This storage box was an option and has nothing to do with C/S's or Non-C/S's even though lots of C/S's got them.




In 1977 the Former SCS was simply called an F350 C/S.
