Just looking for a tuner for my 00 F250 with the 5.4L gasser, wondering what kind of custom tuners are available for it. I've done business with Wester's Garage when I had my 96 Chevy 1/2 ton and had excellent results with it. Just wondering who specializes in late model Fords. Thanks.

I currently have a Hypertech programmer. Of course it is not set to use Premium fuel right now. I took advantage of the custom shift pattern change due to larger tires. It doesn't give a noticable increase in anything performance related but I like the firmer shifting. I currently get 12 1/2 - 13 mpg around town with 4.10 gears 4X4 and 15 - 16 highway and that is with 35 in. tires. Don't know what it would get without the programmed settings.

I thought about just getting a Hypertech, but for the same amount of money or maybe a little more, I can get a custom tune, and from my experience, its worth the extra $$$.
I'll do some more research and see what I can find.
I got my XCAL2 from Troyer performance and would reccomend them to everyone. Really pleased with performance when I'm towing cattle trailer on my 93 towing tune. Everyday driving I run 87 oct tune and still runs good.
Your much better of going with an SCT or Diablosport over other brands like hypertech, superchips, edge and etc. The SCT and diablosport are much more verstile. They can accept custom tunes, datalog and can adjust more parameters than others mentioned.
Go on SCT or Diablosports site and find a dealer in your area. Getting a custom dyno tune is best.
