Clutch
If it is slipping, you have a problem with the clutch itself not holding and will need a new one, without a doubt.
If it is having trouble going into gear and grinding, you may just have a bent shift fork. The only other thing that would cuase grinding is a bad syncro on a certain gear.
If you have no clutch pedal at all it could be your slave/master cylinder.
A sloppy clutch pedal could be the result of the teflon spacer the goes inbetween the master cylinder rod and clutch pedal. In other words we need more info to help you pin point your problem.
Post back with some more details and we will help you get it diagnosed.
Ok , i reread your post and i see that it is slipping. I do have t add that I have the stock NAPA replacement (prescion junk), with a kevlar pilot bearing and it holds well in the 80 econo tune when I get on it. Something either failed in your new OEM untit like a pressure plate spring. I would suggest giving southbend clutch a call or a LUK dealer and descreibe what power your putting to the ground and get a recommendation from them on what to install. I also heard the pedal is light on these heavier clutches, alot lighter than the stock replacements. Which is a plus.
THe key thing to remember is that no matter what replacement clutch you get, get the the kevlar pilot bearing to replace the matal roller bearing type.
