a ranger could work now that i have the trailer, but i keep thinking that the 5-6g's i'll have to spend to get a decent ranger is almost 2 years of fuel, then i'll be looking into a newer halfton. extra maintenance, extra plates...etc. hard flippin descision to make.
I hear ya I am going through the same situation right now. The thing too is I have a 4x4 half ton i could use, but it doesnt get the mileage I would like.
My Rangers got 311400 on it, not a speck of rust, I'll give her fresh undercoat this spring. If i did something bout the lifter noise and maybe did the rest of the front end i could pass it off as a 120 000 truck. which i conviniently have a spare dash for. just in case i decide to do the fliperoo if a nice cummins shows up.
My fuel bill with my ranger was running around 400 a month for the last 5 onths, it should drop down pretty good now, be about $5 a day now.
