Mbrp Dual Wall Tip

Gents, Got my MBRP dual wall tip today. Anyone who has this type of tip (dual wall) did you have to cut the exhaust tailpipe to get the tip to not stick out or is the tip supposed to slide completely over the tailpipe??? Just wondering I thought it would just slide over with no cutting.

Did the exhaust pipe slide into the dual wall part of the tip? Mine goes in about 2.5 inches and won't go any further.

It slid all the way in. About 4" short of going all the way through. I just went out and double checked.

Thanks bro. I think I'm going to have to chop off 4-6" to get mine in the right spot.

i did not have to cut mine i just put the full mbrp exhuast on about a month ago it slide about four inches in a 2x6 and hammered it on was real tight but it went.
