starting problem

2000 F250 7.3l deisel This morning 40deg. After reaching operating temp, a few miles down the road, while in nutreul and still rolling, I shut off the ignition and it would not start after. It finally started after jump starting and it took 3 tries. It would barely turn over like it was a dead battery, but started perfectly before and after incident. New battery terminals and the batteries are in good shape. New GPR and GP. The check engine light was on, but now off. Did I do something that the computer needed to reset?
Thanks for any help

Why would you turn you engine off while still rolling down the road? I don't know what could cause this. Never heard this before.

I have a vacume leak and the air blows thru the deforst instead of the vents, and when I turn it off and restart it blows thru the vents. I had the baby in the back and was trying to get the heat to blow out of the vents. I stop it in nutreul all the time while rolling up to the drive thru and restart in nutreul after and never had a problem.

I got it, keep the baby warm. That is a strange one, but I would get the codes read and go from there. If it does not happen again, then all is good. Post the codes and go from there.

Good luck.

It sat from when I got to work till lunch and started fine, but after work at 5 it was completely dead. Cleaned all the post and terminals, checked all the ground and connection at the starter and they were fine. skinned back the wires a little and no corrosion. Tested the batteries and alt and they were fine. 11.7 volts with a load. Did not happen again. Pulled that codes and it shows "waste gate not detected" checked the vacum lines and they look OK.

Would the other vacume leak for the 4wd and the a/c vents cause this code?
Thanks
