Good Auto Mags?

I've been looking for some time for a good auto mag. I've tried Hot Rod, CC, and PHR over the years, but they're not it. I still get CC, but mostly for their stupid humor.

Most of the mags seem to pretty much admit that they're supported by their advertisers, which kind of limits their article selection. Subscription prices are low, but so what. I mean, some of the stuff is OK, but there are way too many articles about testing yet another intake/cam/whatever for one of the pop V-8s-- and generally it's for the chebby.

Probably there aren't any-- the market's too small -- but I can dream. My ideal would be one that had a little coverage of a range of events, and some tech that included the occasional 4 or 6 -- with a limit of ONE CAMARO per year thank you.

Pretty much just whining, but I'd appreciate any input.

Thanks,

ford2go

Car and Driver, and Hot Rod off the stand when they have something interesting, like March '08 with a 530 horse 331 Ford....

Lots of BS in all the car mags, lots of stuff you may not be interested in.

I like C&D as I've been reading it since '66 or '67 when someone gave me a copy with the 427 Corvette vs. 427 Cobra article.

How could you not LYAO reading things like "The 24 Hours of Lemons".....???

All the mags have something good, some of the time. None of the mags have everything good, all of the time.
