I will be replacing the clutch soon, any recomendations on clutch pack to get?The vehicle is a 1976 F250 3/4 ton 4x4.NP435 4spd tranny,300I6 motor. The truck hauls my camper(1500lbs.dry),and I pull a light home made trailer when I'm going camping(1000lbs?).Otherwise I spend alot of time in the bush with the truck,no hard core 4 wheelin but lot's of off road.
I would probably go the Centerforce route even though they are more money.
I have been using the Precision brand from Advance Auto in my trucks and my customers. But, if I was installing into something that could put out the torque of a 300 I-6 in a heavy truck, I would go quality first.
That NP435 has to weigh 300 pounds (or it seems it) and it will not be an easy job doing the clutch unless it is on a lift, so I would want to do it once every 125,000 miles.
