302 in a b2

hi i am currently putting a 85 f-150 302 in my 87 bronco2.it had a 2.9 pulled and all pumps.got the 302 in, with tranny.plumbed my in line low preasure pump, got my remote oil filter.radiator is in.hooked up duraspark ignition, acording to what a local mechanic says it needs.besides the oil psi and temp wires there were three other wires two red and a white.the two reds i was told were supposed to be power with the key in the run position.and the white was hooked to the selenoid.so there is power while cranking.no spark at all.dont now if its the distributor or the ignition box.so got ahold of a points distributor.i was told to leave my duraspark hooked up mainly because it would already have power to the coil.so i hook up the one wire off my distributor to the hot wire of the coil(that is what i was told to do)try it and nothing.so i check to make sure there is still power at the coil and yes both ends have juice.checked with another guy and he told me that the wire was supposed to be hooked to the negative side of the coil.but with the one wire just hooked to the coil both ends have power so didnt think it would matter.i realy wanna get some spark out of this thing so i can see if it runs.got alot of time into it and just wanna know if my work has been worth my time.

The good and bad of the 302 B II we have one an 89 with a 88 5.0EFI HO stop wasting time with the points the Duraspark box is a great way to go but it wants a Neutral safety switch ya have to find the wires and bypass i forget the colors. or the simplest answer to them all a MSD6 box hooked up to a duraspark Dist. all ya need is power, key and a ground .....what radiator did you use we had a hell of a time ? the bad news is the frame ours cracked from the damn thing taking off hard so we have to work on that .

89 Bronco II NP435 4 speed NP 205 Transfer case Dana 35 front 8.8 31 spline rear
88 Mustang 5.0 EFI
4" lift 33 MTR's no body lift cracked frame !

i used the factory radiator out of the f-150.i ground off the lower radiator supports for the 2.9 and used some angle iron and took some flat steel and made two cups and installed the rubbers.it sits aproximantly 3/4 of inch from fan pulley.i didnt take ne of the header out yet.a MSD 6al box is something i wanted to install with taxes.trying to make this work on a junkyard budget traded a firebird 4 the bronco and motor so i dont have much into it yet.i built a body lift and also lifted the motor slightly, about and inch.the only other concern i have is the transfer case i used all the full size stuff and its just so close.it sits inside the frame rail and is like an inch from hitting.i do still need to hook up a shifter im trying to get ahold of a cable shifter still working on it.finally got spark put a new set of points and condenser in it and she works.hoping to fire it up tomarrow night.

Just stabbing blindly here but aren't the "two red and a white" wires you described for the dura spark box? The white being the spark retard for ease of starting? I may be off in left field thinking of something else, sorry if no help.
