auto trans jerk

i have a 99 v6 f150 2wd auto 30k,when i come to a complete stop, and release the brake pedal there is jerk or thump coming from the trainy,i know it is from the trainy because if i do some high way and come in to town,it stop until i do more stop and go and graduely starts doing it again. It feels like the last down shift to first gear is delayed until i release the brakes. And also i have a suddle knock when i start the engine when cold in the morning only. The dealer as no clue.Anyone?

I had the same problem in my 97 F-150. The belt in my tranny ending up breaking and shattering 1st and 2nd gear, cracking the 3rd gear and the bell housing. Not a pretty sound. Try to get a different dealer to look at it. Good luck!
