Jacking point/MII

I have a '56 w/ a TCI MII: for those who have a similar setup; where do you place your floor jack to jack up the front right or left of the truck? I have been placing mine under the MII crossmember.

That's where I do mine also. I haven't found a good place on the A-arms to jack up just one side. I have put the jack under the end of the crossmember, or on the frame rail just rear of the tire, but overall, the crossmember seems to me to be the most obvious and safest place to place the jack.

I usually put the jack in the middle, jack the whole front end and put jack stands under the frame in front of the crossmember. Depending on what I want to do, I may also put the stands under the crossmember to get them out of the way. I find that it's no harder to jack the whole thing, and I have more working room too.
