Thermastat
I'm guessing this is a 4.9L? Replacing the thermostat is easy. The upper radiator hose comes off and there are two bolts holding the thermostat housing to the engine block - the thermostat housing is how the upper radiator hose connects to the engine. The termostat is inside that housing. You clean the gasket surfaces, put the new one in, seal the new gasket on both sides with sealer and torque the housing back down. The main thing is making sure the thermostat goes in the right direction.
You may or may not lose a lot of coolant; make sure you have a catch pan underneath. I always drain the radiator completely when I do a thermostat because on all my vehicles I always do thermostat, hoses and coolant flush all at the same time.
