engine romping at idle

My 5.4l 2002 starts to romp at idle; what's up with it?

probably a vacuum leak. does it sound act like it's cammed out? does it have any other symptoms while driving it?

Check for a code even if the CEL isn't lit.

No other symptoms just like it's camed out

Does sound like a vacuum issue. I know when my IAC was acting up it would drop very low, then catch itself and zoom up to 1500-18000 rpm. Not as cool as when the clutch fan is stuck and it sounds like a jet engine all the time(LOL).
