Removing Fender Flares
I have a 96 Ranger Ext. Cab 4x4. I am considering removing the fender flares. They are looking a bit tacky. Anybody had any experience with this? Just wondering what I will find underneath, paint I hope.

Yes it should be painted, but you have 12 years of oxidization and fade to account for. I don't know how to cure that, but a good polishing and waxing would be a start. If the flares are screwed in, you will need to put something in the empty holes. If it's just push pins, it still wouldn't hurt to hit the hole with some paint.

i'm not completely sure about a 96 ranger... hopefully somebody that has one will chime in. but i've removed mine from my f-150 a couple of times... theres about 10-15 1/4 inch holes underneath of mine, where a set of plastic clips go into the fender.
