I may be a bit pre-mature on this due to the inconsistant symptom but every so often, five times in the last month or so, my truck will skip and jerk. It is like you turned the ignition off and on quickly.
Since the problem is so infrequent should I wait to have it diagnosed?
When the truck was new and under warranty FMC replaced the crank sensor, the MAP sensor and clutch slave cylinder (Twice on the SC). Other than that the only problem was the door lock.
Any suggestions on what to do would be appreciated.
Thanks, Marvin
PS-----I keep the fuel filter changed and drained at regular intervals.
lollololololollollooloolloolloo
tooooooo funnny
seriouslly though.sounds as if your cam sensor is going again. They are giving them away at ford now.Just a word to the wise .DONT let them touch anything else. And be there with them.Otherwise just buy it for 25 bucks and do it yourself.Thats what I'm doing.I dont trust not one of the ford techs. Its like going in with a headache to the hospital and comeing out in a body bag.
LMAO!!! Oh man....I had to read those to my wife....too funny!!
I would replace the CPS as the opthers have said. Mine did that too, but just once, then it died in my father-in-laws driveway. Luckily I had a spare in the glovebox.
It sounds like the cam sensor to me. I had a 00 superduty and it did the same thing just a few times a month. One time i was 3 hrs from home at my brothers wedding when it just kept dieing. Then it left me high and dry at church when i was trying to sell it. Just go and buy it for $25 and get a 10mm ratchet and socket and it wont take but 5 min.
I changed my mind---------it's not skipping, it's missing. LOL
Ok, I have $25.00 and a 10mm socket. Where is it located on the engine?
Thanks for the help folks.
