New to chatting. I have spent hours reading your posts looking for answers and have always found good info to work with. I am a DIY'r and love it when it can be done at home. You save $$$ and get the satisfaction of solving the problem. Current ride is 96 F350 CC LB 2WD PSD 190,000 - stock except for a 3" down pipe and trans cooler. Had for 5 yrs and only a year ago started to learn what mods can be done to the PSD. We pull a 9K TT around for family trips. Interested in a new ride now - tired of the noise of that body style. Drove a nice '01' 7.3 last fall, it was much quieter and had a lot more leg room than the 96. Now the hard part, gas or diesel. Wife wants gas because of the smell and noise that we have now. I would like a quiet truck so I can hear the radio and conversations in the back seat. With gas now $.40/gal cheaper, its tough to argue for the diesels and their costs. But what about the spark plug problems that come with the V10's, I know of 3 local problems. But with what I learned about the mods that can be done to the diesels, the gear head in me wants another 7.3 to start playing with - going to stay away from the 6.0 though. Decisions, decisions. I better read some more posts
