Bell housing adapter-starter bracket

Bell housing adapter-starter bracket
I have a 6.9 idi f-350 5spd and i found after I got my truck pull started at work l, that when I got home and looked under my truck where the starter bolts to, was cracked in half,So I need to know where I can get a new one or if it can be welded back? Any ideas or info welcomed thx!

Is the bell housing cracked? Is it aluminum or cast iron?

You saying the adapter plate that the starter bolts to broke. It is cast iron. It could be brazed.

or welded by a skilled welder, cast must be heated and cooled evenly when welded

Easier to find a replacement, there is a lot of torque in that area.

Yes the bell housing adapter is cracked and where can I find a fast replacement?
