thats a pretty open question. the 385 series engines has more and better aftermarket support and since no substitute for cubic inches they also have more power potential and anymore are cheaper to build. The FE series of engines are no slouches though for a typical hot street truck though and if your truck already has one it would be cheaper to build it and run that. But like I say it all depends on what you want if it's all out power go with the 385 series though.
