Carburetion
Guys,
I`m getting a little ahead of myself, but I find I`m going to have to
make a decision in the future. I have 3 intake manifolds and 5
carburetors. #1-292 manifold with a 2 bbl carb. #2-`57 t-bird
manifold and 4100 autolite. #3- Edelbrock 553 with 3 97`s. Any
suggestions for reliability, economy, ego, etc.?
I have the answers in my head, but would really appreciate some
input from anyone that has experience with the above.
I`m now running the 2 bbl and getting about 13.5 mpg on my 312.

Eesh, only 13.5 with the 2bbl? My Edelbrock 4-barrel is giving me about 11 right now. The triple deuces have the unbeatable "cool factor", and will probably give you the most power, if you can be bothered to tune them constantly.
