HELP, engine swap

have a 89 ranger, 2.3 v4 fuel injected, want to swap and put in a 2.8 v6 carb, what do i need

WHY? 2.3 is a much better engine. Need a donor truck to start with.

Yeah.. that's a lateral step at best.. the early 2.8's made less HP than the EFI 2.3. A much better swap would be a turbo I4 from a T-Bird.

well i have the donor truck my friend is set on doin it so, i just need to know if it will work
