abs problem

abs problem
Some time ago as I was driving my abs light came on, the speedo needle dropped and no cruise control. Since then I've checked the wiring to the sensors and the sensors themselves. I also replaced the abs module but so far no change. Wondering if anybody has any idea what else I could try or check? The other thing I should mention is that when I've been driving in rain for a while the abs light will blink occasionally with the speedo working for a few seconds till the abs light blinks again. Any help would be appreciated.

I have the same problem on my truck. I also replaced the sensors. the dealer wanted to replace the module but they would not be sure of the fix. I read on the forums that there are two other sensors. a turbine speed sensor on top of the transmission and at the rear of the transmission... I will read some more and post any results....considering you posted this in January hopefully you'll check this forum again.....and maybe somebody else can help us out.....thanks in advance

I don't think that the sensors on the transmission are the problem in my case. My X no longer has the factery engine or tranny(it's got a cummins with the 48RE tranny now). None of the Ford tranny sensor wiring is hooked up to anything anymore. I drove it like that for quite a few months with no troubles.
