whats the difference between superchip and SCT

want black smoke? you should probably to all the complementary mods first such as guages(EGT and boost), intake, and exhaust. then you will be safe to get a chip. You can't get an SCT for our year model trucks and a superchip won't get you as much power as you can get from your stock injectors. Go with a DP-Tuner or a chip from Tony Wildman at Total Diesel Performance. These chips will get the most from your stock injectors, although you still won't get but around 60 extra horses outa it when the chip is burned for a 140hp tune. if you really want some black smoke then do another complementary mod: tranny(if auto- get tranny cooler and get at least a BTS valvebody... if manual- get a clutch). after you have done that you can step up to larger injectors. then you will be able to make the best of the 140hp burn on one of the 2 chips i listed above. the superchip won't run aftermarket injectors very well and still won't give you the power it advertises. thats just my .02 and i hope this helps some
