What kind of temperatures is everyone seeing in these trucks with the factory tranny coolers? How about with bigger aftermarket coolers? I just got my first ford and i know that the automatic trannys are notorious in them. Mine was just rebuilt but still has the factory cooler. I am suspecting that a big part of the problems with the auto trannys is over heating, so i just want to feel it out some. Look forward to what you guys find out! Thanks.
In my truck, factory cooler, efan OFF, no load, regular highway with mixed city driving, it hovers around 125-140* F, as per my Auto Meter trans temp gauge. If I do a lot of power shifting it will sometimes get as high as 150* or 160* F.

Well, i wish i had the c 6... LOL. Im not sure which it is for sure but its either aode or e4od...
Im looking at getting a tranny cooler rated around that size, did you have to fabricate much to get it in? where did you locate it, behind the grille in front of the radiator? Thanks skandocious, that was exactly what i was looking for. Any good gauges that are on the cheaper side? LOL, i doubt i have auto meter budget right now...
