Fram is bad news brother... Do you have a nearby Walmart? Our Walmart stocks Motorcraft filters.
SKAN!!!! Either you have not been reading my posts lately in threads that you are keeping up on and postng in OR you are giving me the cold shoulder treatment...my guess is the latter. So, once again I ask you:
Yea I got a walmart. I have had bad luck with the Motorcraft filters. Ive been using Fram since i remember working on cars with my dad and uncle. My friends jeep got 200K on the clock with all Fram filters. Everytime I get a car with them or use them. They leak from the filter.
I haven't made it yet brother. You're next on my list so just chill, it'll get done.
The past guys that I've done them for never had to ask twice, and they still got theirs even if several weeks later. Keep being like that and I won't make you one. Keep in mind that there is NOTHING in it for me to create all these sig pics, I'm doing it out the goodness of my heart.

Ahhh, ok. I do recall you saying that you were going to work on it last weekend and I still have not seen anything so I thought that you might have forgotten about it.
The picture in my signature and that one that is in 95F350XL's signature is called a sig pic. I made both of those as well as some other spread around this forum. Eco is being rude and hijacking your thread for his own personal problems

Surprisingly enough, I DO have other things to take care of in my personal life besides working on your sig picture all the time. Chill. It'll get done.
These pictures appear below peoples posts. Skan has made several for various people with some computer program he got....however he is dragging his feet with mine.
And about the oil relocator...
This is where the oil filter normally goes, but here you see the adaptor:
Here is the oil manifold with the 2 filters located outside of the frame...

What bad experiences have you had with FRAM? I have been using them for almost every filter I change and Have had no problems. But that might be bacause I change filters WAY before I need too. Oil almost every 1500 miles and air every 3000 miles at least.

wow, that is early.
a lot of people complain about fram. i haven't had any problems either, but other filters are just about as cheap and everyone else hates fram, i just assume avoid them too. just do a search and you'll find hundreds of people bashing fram.
...but at 1500 miles, my guess is you could use a kleenex as a filter and be ok
I don't know about the rest of the Motorcraft line, but the FL1A is a TANK! The way the can is crimped to the base plate makes it very easy to open up, too. I use a hack saw to cut the crimp away but you could also use a cutoff wheel. Since the crimp is essentially outside of the can and also below the base plate you don't have to worry about dropping filings or cutting the media accidentally. Once open you can see that the innards are all metal and the ends of the filter media a joined with a metal clip rather than just glue.
If I'm standing in the store and I have both Motorcraft and FRAM in front of me, there's NO WAY I'm going to pick up the FRAM when the FL1A is the same price.

Me too. I've had countless Fords with over 150k miles (one with 300k) that I only used Motorcraft oil filters.
I'm not questioning the quality of the FL1A because it is certainly a good filter, but there are also other filters that are just as good (some might even be better). Frams are definitely cheaply made for mass production and low cost, as such, performance does suffer.
For the person who changes oil every 1500 miles....what a waste of money and resources.
