The mounds is a place where you take a mud truck, or a trail truck thats okay to scratch and beat up, not your daily driver.
SWB is best to have, or a std cab long box is okay.
The mudbog area has been tore out by the BIG guys, so you have to have a really good mud truck to go there. otherwise you'll just .. well not do to well. heh.
There are some other area's where a snorkle might be agood idea too.
It's not too bad over there I have been there once! I had 38" Swampers on my bronco and I did not do too bad!!! I would like to go again though I have the 40's on there now...
I def woudln't take my daily driver, but that is me. and i'm not you. =)
my truck i have now in stock form can take the road course there, but the clutch will stop working half way through cause of all the water.
There was alot of water when I was there... The day we went in march in 2006 was like 60 deg. out or so.. it was really nice there was no snow left.. I would not take a daily driver out there... I would not even drive over there... I always trailer... way better.
It does close for a month or so mid march or so till late april early may.. I am not sure though.. You should check with the park for dates or get on wegotmud.com they would be able to tell you also...
