FORD TUFF!!!!!
Folks, I did the unimaginable!! I slid off the road with my 88 F350 during a snow storm, and did a nose dive into a creek from being air born. I got bruised all up. But the truck only took some minor damage. I bent the pitman arm, ruptured 2 front shocks, blew out the left ront tire and cracked the rim. And somehow damaged the MAP sensor, which the mechanic is trying to tell me, that there is no way an accident can ruin a MAP sensor. I also damaged about a 3 inch circle on my hood, and a 3 inch circle on my left front fender when I wedged it under a bridge. All in all, about $1400.00 in damage. Built Ford Touph!!!! That sucks badly man. I've got to give the ol' 460 credit, I bottomed out my car by ramping some RR tracks and knocked a hole in my oil pan and tranny pan, and crushed some transmission fluid lines. The car drove 2.5 miles to home where I discovered that it had leaked out all of its oil and most of the tranny fluid on the way. That was two weeks ago, I finally got everything back together and she runs like a dream. Steering a little screwed up but the engine runs good and tranny still shifts smooth and tight. The ol' 460/C6 is quite dificult to tear up.
Radio still works too.
