What size exhaust?

I have a 94 F-350 IDI with 5 in stacks. Im wantin to get a bigger exhaust but dont know much about this engine. I plan on a 3 in downpipe and just need a piece of pipe that goes from the down pipe to the stacks. Is 4 in to big?

Yea I made a cover to go in front of the stacks so nothing can slide into them.

If you read the web chat theat TDS had with Gale Banks, He states that NA diesels stop showing gains on the Dyno after 3". Turbo Diesels stopped showing gains after 4". Big boosted diesels, over 40PSI. Stopped showing gains after 4.5"
So I'd say, anything more is just bling.

Mines a turbo so I guess I should be ok with 4 in.
