Thumbs up Going to the Turlock swap meet saturday

Got 'er carb and ignition problems sorted out thanks in large part to FTE members giving me great advice. Now I'll be driving her to the Turlock Swap Meet on saturday.

Be on the look out for my (oxidized) white 64 in the parking lot. I'll have on my SSF Fire sweatshirt on with my SF Giants hat. Come on up and say hello to the wife and I.

Who else is going?

See you there!
Travis

"See"...is the keyword.

How's the Tule Fog this time of year?

It was so bad once, you couldn't see you hand in front of your face.

Take care while speeding along on 99 or 5, that fog can appear out of nowhere.

Edit: hmm...in Patterson...just a short hop, skip and a jump to Turlock.

Is Patterson Ford still there? There used to be an old truck body out back loaded with NOS Ford parts.

And have you checked out the basement and attic of Newman Drug?

You'll be in for a surprise if you like old toys. I bought a lot of it, but left some there 20 years ago.

Lots of other neat stuff there too, old new cameras, a partial soda fountain. LIONEL TRAIN accessories. Might be worth a trip to see if anything's left.

Tule Fog...yuck... Thick as Pea soup this time of year. McAuley Ford is still there. No old truck parts though. Out with the old, in with the new I guess.

Hopefully the weather clears up for the swap meet. It's been rainy all week. If not, I'll have to bring a poncho and the wife will stay home by the fire.

It was Patterson Ford the last time I was there.

McAuley was (is?) the L/M dealer in Merced. Cleaned them out years ago. They were formerly an Edsel dealer, and before that, a Packard dealer.
