Need help with a part.
Asking this for a buddy. 96 PSD
If I understand him correctley. Valve cover gasket has a built in wiring harness connector. The wiring harness outside the valve cover connection is bad. Ford sales the complete harness for 600.00. Does anybody make an aftermarket plug-in that can be put on. He was told you can get it for newer ford but not his

oil consumption
95 PSD. 191K
Bought from my uncle with 125k on it. I have receipts for everything. Oil was changed every 3k relegiously. I'm changing at 5k which is once a month. Using rotella. I am using 2 qts every 5k. Is this normal??

jkh - i just got a pair of gaskets and other goodies and a "harness plug repair kit" for my melted main harness plugs off of ebay for about 450

jkh - from what i reaseached its easier to replace the plug end then try to search out a used harness or pay painfully for a new one. just my 2 cents

Scatgo, thanks for the web site! I ordered two pig tails (Only needed one but Murphys law and experience said to order two) they shipped it today and sent a tracking number. Great service!
My connector was bad and it caused me to spend $700 to replace #1 injector. It was throwing a code of #1 injector. Did an injector test and it showed the same. The shop replaced the injector and it worked great. Three months later same thing. This time a different shop said the same thing. I told them to check continuity on both sides of the valve cover they did and found a bad connector which they shimmed. Now I can permanenty fix the connector thanks to your tip!
