Pinion bearing

Hello there,

I'm replacing my 9" ring and pinion gears. when i went to put on the the bearing on the pinion gear, the bearing goes on the shaft very easily and it can be removed very easily. I 'mic'd' the pinion shaft and it is the same diameter as the old one. Is there a product that could bond the bearing to the shaft, so the bearing will have a less of a chance of turning? Thanks.

Are you reusing the old bearing? If so I would invest in new bearings. Yes there is such thing as retaining compound for this type of thing. I would look into a new set of bearings.
