2002 7.3 PSD EX Upgrades

Hello all, I thought I would see what everyone thinks as far as my thoughts on a few aftermarkets upgrades to the ex. I am wanting to do an exhaust, intake, and chip. So far I have narrowed it down to the banks stinger plus or the MBRP 4" turbo back stainless exhaust with 5" angle cut tip. As far as an intake I am leaning toward the AEM oil free intake. For the electronic performance I am thinking the SCT Strategy Pre-Programmed Flash Device. I am mostly using the vehicle for around town and lots of hauling. Any feedback or experience with any of these items positive or negative would be greatly appreciated.

Ok as far as banks goes its the same thing as the MBRP but more expensive. The intake that I and many others down in the 7.3 love is the 6637. I have it on my X and it works great. As far as tuning Dp tuner is the way to go. If you have more question just post this down in the 7.3 forum,

Personally I like the Edge Tuners, probably because I have more experience with them than the SCT's. I have heard great things about the SCT and you will find that most guys on this forum are using them with great success. I agree with WeekendWarrior that you will get better pricing from MBRP than you will from Banks. If your interested, we manufacture a full line of diesel performance parts including exhaust and intake kits. PM me if you would like more information or have any questions.

Hope this helps...
Dave

Run, do not walk...RUN to DP-Tuner and Jody's F5 chip.

Jody at DP-Tuner has perfected custom tunes for the 7.3L PSD.

Do a quick search in the 7.3L forum and you'll see he's pretty much the king.

I have an 02 EX and I just bought the MBRP 4' exhaust $460 or so from alligator performance, I bought a AFE stage 2 pro guard $ 405 from throughbread diesel. Im still up in the air on the tuner. I like the way the edge looks. However there does seem to be a lot of talk about the DP. My purchases were both on sale at the time. both places had free shipping which is a plus.

Based on posts by those who have had the Edge before switching to DP-Tuner, comparing the two would be like comparing a flashlight to a spotlight.
