round up

sorry bout forgetting about the round-up for abit. but with my ole gal wrecked and all i didnt feel much like that sorta thing lol. made me sick haha. but she should back with a bang by next week. would everyone maybe make a big FTE turnout to smokin in the smokies or TS performance? maybe all of us from north of there convoy down and meet up and show em we do it in Old body styles? that way if one of us was gonna have it we wouldnt have to worry with the liabilities of getting a dyno and possibly being oout a couple grand if it flopped?

I would love that. I still like the Kenticky idea. I was on the EX forum and they are having an EX meet along with some SD's in Gatlinburg in July. They are nice people and even welcomed me with my OBS. Since I need it to haul the 5er. Maybe we could piggy back on them They sounded like they wouldn't mind. They are even making up shirts.

Whaddya think?

eah I agree a dyno at that price is probably too much for this small group we have here.

yeah, just having a cook-out would be sweet.. but if we could hold it where there is a drag strip and/or dyno, that would be even better.. and as long as it's not more then like 10 hours away from northern IN I could make it for sure.. any more then that and the price of fuel.. :0(
but in my opinion, a drag strip or dyno would just be a plus.. I could do without..

russell springs, KY. about 30 miles west of Somerset, which is about 75 miles south of lexington. Somerset is also about 1 hour north of Onieda TN, and the farm is about 150 miles west of Bowling green

Hey guys...Neal and I have been PM'ing back and forth tonight...

Neal...I figured out the acronym once you sent me this link...

But I just wanted to say anyone in this forum is MORE THAN WELCOME to join in our our rally in Gatlinburg!...it started out as an Ex rally but has grown into a BLUE OVAL RALLY...so all are welcome.

The link to the rally info is https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/6...-up-today.html

But BE WARNED...it is a 50 page thread by now. If you scan thru for my posts...I've tried to put BIG RED 'ON-TOPIC INFO' in my posts that mean something...we've kinda been 'chatting' and it would be IMPOSSIBLE to catch up on all that thread has grown to become.

Tell you what...go to the first page and read my write up about what we are planning...then if you are interested...PM me with an email addy if you are interested in booking...we can talk about any questions you have.

Then once you decide to book at the campground...I have another form my wife generated to collect information on the participants so we can try and accomodate what the 'majority' wants to do in the way of events.

Many like myself will be pulling campers there. I'm in Fort Wayne Indiana and will be arriving at the rally Thursday July 24 and leaving Friday August 1...so I'm there for a week...

My family truly enjoys meeting new folks...and meeting folks with the same passion as me...BLUE OVALS...what could be better!...

So I would like to formally extend an invite to anyone that is interested in the July 25-27 (the weekend dates) Gatlinburg FORD SUPER DUTY RALLY...to read about it and sign up with Twin Creek RV park before the sites are gone!!!

And again...if you have any questions...feel free to PM me.

Thanks Neal for the link to this thread!

joe.

I just spoke with one of the ones heading up the EX rally and they said we are welcome to join them in Gatlinburg, TN in July. They have a campground with discounts and a motel spotted. Shirts made and good family camping planned. I look forward to this with all of the blue ovals. As most of you know it is a beautiful place. I will look for a link to their threads.
