The number is still correct it just has both A and B on it becuase I got it off of powerstrokeshop.
Sorry I didnt catch that. I'm sure they put it on there to show that their part number covers both old and new.

Thanks, folks. All I have for a reference is an invoice with the part number F7TZ-12K073-B, described as a "sensor". Just don't know exactly what it is. I'll probably just call Ford parts and ask them.

Thanks to PowerStrokeHD and IDMooseMan. My new CPS is gray as you suggest and Ford tells me it is indeed the updated one. (The old one was black.)
