I bought my first Diesel (an '05 F-250) about 6 payments ago and almost immediatly had the notorious HPOP problem which was a little discouraging at first but it was covered under the 5/100,000 so it wasn't a big deal. Not long ago I knew almost nothing about diesels except that you use the big green pump at the "Gas" station, maybe more than that but you get the idea. After coming across this site I love my p-stroke more every day, with a little searching you can find almost anything here, I just wanted to say thanks and I will continue to read every new post that comes across here!!!!
Ditto to the posting listed above. I am a recent first-time PSD owner and I learn something new every single time I check the postings. Also get many new ideas for mods as well...Makes truck ownership fun again.

Just be careful...the 'green pump' at our local BP station is the gas while the black pump is the diesel!
Ok so the color of the pump may change but you would never be wrong by pulling up to the pump with the higest price....at least not in Michigan, $3.09 for "PREMIUM" gas.... $3.39 for diesel, must be good stuff!!!
why is it that the price of diesel is going up and the fuel economy is going down. i got 17 mpg driving about a year ago and now that the ULSD is the only choice, the economy dropped to 13 - 14 mpg with the same driving habits?
