This is an annoying problem. My dads 97 F250 with the 460 has a slight miss, or we think it is a miss. At idle it is not really noticable, but under load is where it show its ugly head. We pull a 36 foot fifth wheel, and on the hills it actually jerks the truck. It has been put on the computer at the dealer twice, but of course it did not show anything. Is this something we can fix? We have changed wires, plugs, cap and rotor. Nothing. Would it be the computer or the distributor? If you need more info let me know.
P.S. This is not a constant miss, there might be 3 to 4 seconds between the miss under load.

Try the fuel pump and filters. I had a similar prob. Idle it's o.k. under load it was fuel starved cuz of a clogged filter and corroded fuel pump connections.
I would also check the fuel filter / pump, but also the air intake may need to be cleaned. I doubt that to be the problem, but it is a possibility. When it was put on the Diagnostic computer at the dealer, were their any stored codes in the computer, or just no codes at all? Were you sure it was the motor causing the jerk, or was it possibly some tranney slippage? Good luck.

There is a K&N filter, we removed the cone restrictors and that didn't work as far as miss is concerned, did add noticeable power in the upper range though. We don't think it is the tranny because in park at idle it sometimes stumbles, but like I said before under load is were it is real noticeable. As far as the codes go I don't think anything came up, new or stored. I think he changed the fuel filter. This truck has dual tanks, that means two fuel pumps and it does this miss on either tank. So I don't think the fuel pump would be it. I could be wrong though. We have done the fuel injector cleaner that did not work. There are times that it does not stumble or miss, and it has alot more towing power then. Keep the ideas coming. Thanks so far.
