New Guy.. Questions

Hey guys i am getting ready to buy this 95 PS with a 5 speed, and i was wondering what all i need to look at on this truck when i look it over? i know the basics are done like glow plugs and relay, cam sensor, injects and looms. i know that the 95 ball joints arent too bad about wearing out. but what do i need to look at? what kind of mileage do i expect to get with it. its a 1 ton, with the edge programmer.. it also comes with a superchip chip..
Thanks

Look at the suspention to see what is worn out. (Complete suspension) If they are factory rubber it is probably about time to replace them. Look for oil leaks, loose bolts, leaning tires. If you can see the pads and shoes look at them to see how much they have left. If it has really clean oil it was just changed. (something worth asking about) Stuff like that.
Anything you can think of while you are inside, outside, and under the truck.
I say to think of it as a new car that you were told had an obvious problem. All you have to do is find it. Just make sure you keep that thought, you may find a lot of things that you will want to do to it if you buy it.

Welcome to FTE by the way.

Probably not a big deal in MO but the steel brake lines usually warrant a quick looksee-- I know up here in sand-and-salt country they need checking at least after each winter. Also if the truck has been or will be parked mostly on dirt, keep an eye on them.

is there a usual spot that they have an oil leak like the turbo oil line or cooler?
