Says is runs great, no mechanical problems and even said I could have a mechanic or those lemon detector guys go check it out. that price is good. Get it looked at REALLY good.
How many miles on it?

The V10 loves gas, but if you tow, the v10 will get better MPG's than a v8.

Also, the V10 gets like 1-2 less mpg than the V8, if that. so its not a big difference.

I have a 01 f250 with the V10, GREAT power maker. I have pulled trucks up to there axels out of sand with my v10 ideling.

GOOD LUCK!!

The V10 will pass anything but a Gas station. Love my V10. 10 mpg with a 6 inch lift and 37 inch TSL

Well I've had my '08 for about a couple of months and I have to say that I researched the heck out of this engine/truck and the options (V-8, Diesel) and made all the gas cost comparisons. In the end I like it a lot, but I'm SHOCKED how crappy the gas mileage is. I fill up and 20 minutes later it's off the full mark 10 mpg combined and 11.2 mpg pure highway. I knew what I was getting into but it's frightening now that reality has hit. I guess that means 8 around town!!!

thanks for the replies ya'll. ITs got 110,000 miles on it. Is it true that you can buy things to make the gas mileage improve? like different exhaust and stuff like that?

Ain't much that is going to improve the MPG of the V-10 other than the control of pressure applied by the right foot. That's pretty much the nature of the V-10 beast.

If gas is a concern, buy a Civic

The trucks are almost bullet-proof - the only thing I'd check into is whether or not the spark plugs were ever done. And that the tranny fluid is nice and clean, and it's been changed over the years.

Other than that, no special concerns that you wouldn't have buying ANY vehicle. Suspension, tires, brakes, etc.

He had some major rust and even some holes where it looked like he had somethin punch through the bed. But I guess thats why has was askin only 4900 bucks for it. Thanks for all ya'lls input though.
