Towing

What is the limit for towing with a 2004 scsb 4x4 Lariat with the tow package? I know it was around 9000lbs but I want to be sure. I am looking at a new camper and don't want to go too heavy.

2004 specs

With 3.73 gears and 5'box 7800lbs. with 6' box 9300lbs. if you want to check for yourself google 2004 F150 specs

When you consider a trailer, keep in mind the advertised weight is for the base trailer. Accessories (AC, awning, microwave, spare,etc) typically adds about 500 lbs to the actual weight. Then you need to add the weight of your "stuff" which can easily be an additional 1,000 lbs. or more and the weight of the folks in the truck. You don't want to go over about 80% of the GVWR. Once you get in this territory, you need to go to a HD truck.
