I posted here recently on this topic, got some helpful ideas but nothing has rectified my ongoing problems with a malfunctioning fuel gauge. I am taking my '03 6.0 FX4 CC into the dealer again tomorrow, I don't have much hope that they can fix it but I have to give them a chance (4th shot at fixing it). In the event that this continues to malfunction, what are my alternatives? I don't have the time to keep returning the truck to the dealership, getting a rental and not getting it fixed. If I don't actively manage my fuel levels with the trip odometer, I am screwed, I will run out of diesel.
I also have had 3 rear main seals replaced, and failed to get a Lemon Law ruling in my favor, so I don't want to waste more time on something like that.
$42,000 sticker price and the fuel gauge won't work, seems a little strange that I am the only person dealing with this.
Thanks for any ideas about what to do if they don't fix it this time,
dc
